Plantar Fasciitis
The Clinic, after extensive research has proved the only cure for Plantar Fasciitis is to give the ligament tears rest. The success of the Clinics treatment is to provide that rest whilst allowing the patient to continue daily routine (walking, working, exercising etc). See below.
Early Onset of Pain
A Permanent Cure
The principle of this clinical treatment is to directly address the root cause of the load. Clinic research over many years indicates in over 90% of cases it is the daily routine of standing, walking, exercising, working etc, which allows body weight to be transmitted downwards through the foot structure, eventually overloading the Plantar Fascial ligament.
To remove the body weight force from the ligament, the Clinic has designed and created an individually engineered prescription Insert to fit inside shoes and return the foot to a self supporting position. This is in direct contrast to the arch lift principle of standard orthotics. The support is achieved by re-positioning the heel bone (calcaneus) and holding it for a period of weeks. This immediately reduces the excessive load by aligning the centre of gravity (vertical force) away from the inflamed attachment. By holding the foot in this position over a number of weeks and complimenting this support with correct icing and gentle exercises, over 95% of patients have achieved complete recovery.
The Clinic technicians hand engineer every Insert. We do not believe mass manufacturing or computer generated devices are capable of accurately taking all these variables into account.
This technique is not mass manufactured arch based standard orthotics or arch supports.
From the Clinic's experience with 1000's of patients and vast data base we have conclusively proved that arch based orthotics can aggravate and in some circumstances initiate Plantar Fasciitis. The foot is a complicated mix of 26 bones, ligaments and muscles. In addition, each individual has a different shape, weight, lifestyle etc. So any form of artificial support must take this complex mechanism into consideration.
The Heel Clinic Consultants, Sports Podiatrists and Exercise Physiologists are specialists in the field of biomechanics, foot function and exercise regimes.
DVA and Workers Compensation cases accepted and appointments are usually available within 10 days.
Everything required to initiate the programme is done in one(1) visit.
